Mapledurham House

This beautiful Manor house has an interesting history, dating back to Doomsday.  Now, however it is a restored family home, and the grounds can be hired for weddings, parties etc. 

There are two areas available for your marquee – one alongside the River Thames, to which you can bring your guests by boat.  This site, the Coffee Shop Lawn, has the advantages of being able to use the power supply and toilets in the outbuildings.  Parking is by the Water Mill, which can be seen from the marquee.  On a lovely summer’s day, there can be few prettier locations for your celebrations.

The Front Lawn is also available, and offers stunning views of the house, which is floodlit at night.  There is private parking, and although this area is not accessible by river boat, it is not open to the public.  Power will need to be supplied by generator and portaloos must be provided for this area.

The house is not included in the hire, and, as it is a family home, your guests are asked to respect the privacy of the family and maintain a respectful distance from the house itself.
