Monks Barn

Monks' Barn is a beautiful 13th Century Medieval barn, with flint and chalk walls and stone-flagged floors.  It features the original arrow-slit windows and has huge double doors which can be opened to flood the interior with light.  Gentle lighting provided by up-lighters highlights the magnificent beamed roof, and the shallow troughs around the bottom of the walls can be filled with fairy lights for added sparkle!

With the added amenities of a bar area, and excellent disabled access, the Barn will cater for up to 150 guests for a sit-down meal in the Great Hall, depending on table layout.  The additional reception area is ideal for arrival drinks, receiving line, and dance floor in the evening.  The two areas can be separated by the use of a curtain to add extra drama to the event.

Outside is a lovely garden  which can be used for any outside activities, reception or just a chill-out area for your guests.   It is possible to erect canopies or marquees in this garden to fully supplement the indoor space.
